Fathers Day 2012 … priceless

My wife and kids spoil me … all year long … and especially today!

  • LEGO centerpiece of ‘#1 DAD’ (My grandson is a LEGO maniac)
  • Father’s Day cards from my wife and from my grandson (both cards extremely heart touching)
  • York Peppermint Patties (Yes, I had one BEFORE breakfast)
  • JellyBelly jelly beans (a flavor explosion with every bean … have loved these jelly beans for a while now)
  • A Pink Flamingo snow-globe from Hilton Head Island (OK, it’s not very manly but my favorite animal is pink flamingos … I get hand drawn pictures of pink flamingos from my granddaughters all the time)
  • Starbucks VIA Caramel for Iced Coffee (made first glass … in pic … delicious!)
  • ‘Courageous’ Perpetual Calendar (Extremely convicting movie … using this calendar to carry those convictions over into day-to-day life)
  • New Sidewalk Prophets CD … Live Like That (This group is fairly new to me but loved their first CD)
  • New Big Daddy Weave CD … Love Comes To Life (Have liked this group since their very first CD back in 2002)
  • A volume of ‘Travel the Road’ on DVD (Think reality TV with missionaries in foreign countries … helps you see more of what missionary life is really like)
  • Not pictured … a call from my daughter Cindy and my granddaughters McKenna and Chaney singing ‘Happy Father’s Day’ (sung to the tune of Happy Birthday)
  • Love of my wife, children and grandchildrenPRICELESS!

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads who pass this way …

Thanks for all your immeasurable love Abba Father!!!

About bwebbjr

A grandfather, father, husband, man, and a child of God who is following Christ Jesus and working out his salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work IN me, both to will and to work for His good pleasure (Philippians 2:12-13). I dodged my first bullet with cancer when a cancerous polyp was removed in a sigmoid colectomy surgery in August 2007. Four years later, in the midst of a second colectomy surgery we discovered I had Stage IV metastatic colon cancer. Rather than colectomy surgery I had colostomy surgery, which now means the colostomy bag is a part of my everyday life ... with the emphasis on life. God has given us a peace beyond understanding as my wife and I have traveled this journey. By the grace of God I am blessed to be a 6 plus year cancer survivor aka warrior. In writing, I am often wrestling with my own personal struggles and beliefs and in the midst God leads me to a lesson He wants me to learn ... or sometimes He simply touches me in the revelation of Himself. My hope is that the result you see here might touch your heart and glorify God. And let me be clear ... I am not the only one with something to say. Please join in the conversation sharing your faith, your cancer experiences, etc. I would love to hear from you. Bernie
