I too have found myself desiring a life like a particular author, preacher or teacher’s life. I don’t think having those desires are fully bad because they are challenging me to seek more of Him, more of His Kingdom and yet I can relate as I remember that He has created my journey especially for me and it won’t look exactly like anyone else’s. Remembering that must be at the forefront.

I’m getting a little time to catch up Bernie and I CAN relate well. In helping mom through her treatments that brought bad side effects and a hospital stay, I can relate even more to your words. thank you for sharing. God’s blessings and peace in all you do.

Bernie, we all have highs and lows. It is impossible, though highly desirable, to live on the mountain top all of the time. Sometimes we have to descend to the valleys to find our way back to the mountain. The scriptures you present in this article are right on. Our God is a great and mighty Father. He provides for ALL of our needs … not necessarily our desires. He knows us like no one else. He knows what we need. He can supply what we need. He cares about what we need. He has a plan for each of us … His plan … and not ours. He is ABLE! I am weak, BUT HE IS STRONG! Praise Him for who He is and how He loves me. Jim
